First day of the Comic Festival and the first thing i did was attend the 'David Shrigley' lecture! It was the the best lecture i have been to this year (well what i can remember anyway). He has a very dry sense of humour which comes out into his work which I love. He doesn't class himself as an illustrator he is more of a comic Artist / fine artists / animator and many other things except an illustrator. I was lucky enough to speak to him at the end and he even signed my book!
Some of my friends asked him to design them a tattoo which he also did, this is one of the things i found most amusing and so did he that people would ask him to design these ridiculous tattoos...anyway if anyone is interested http://www.davidshrigley.com/... i found it very inspirational.
